My house is in a pretty messy state right now. The sink is filled with unwashed dishes, the plants are slowly withering away, fishes have died, there's dog fur everywhere, piles of clothes waiting to be washed and hung, and here I am blogging about it instead of cleaning up the mess. I know we're both old enough to assume responsibility of cleaning up the house as well as the dog after the maid left but so far, it doesn't appear to be the case.

Poor Hermes has grown thinner because we have resorted to only feeding him once a day minus the snacks the maid used to give him and he smells but neither of us have bathed him yet. My dear brother's hardly at home nowadays and the only time I do see him is when I barge into his room in the mornings to steal a stick.

I don't blame him entirely because I understand he's got other commitments that keeps him away but all I'm asking for is a little more responsibility. I only expect him to do the little chores such as making sure all the lights are switched off before he goes to bed, all doors locked, dirty clothes to be put into the bin instead of on the floor, and to take the rubbish out. Is that so hard to do? If I can do my part, why can't he?

And if anyone were to think that I shouldn't be complaining so much because it's a female duty to clean up the house, please keep that thought to yourself because it's infuriating to know that there're such traditionalists out there.

Ju, hope you don't take this the wrong way but our paths don't seem to cross much nowadays so I'm merely asking for you to do those teeny little things above ok? I love you too.
