It finally rained last night. A downpour more like it. After a week long heatwave, it was welcomed with open arms but just like many other things, it didn't last very long and pretty soon, we were back to relying on the air conditioning for some relief. It's always so freaking hot during CNY, isn't it?
And speaking of CNY, I didn't get to catch any of the lion dance troupes in action this year. Heard the drums, saw the empty lorry parked by the roadside, but no prancing lion was seen doing any acrobatic act. When my brother and I were little, we would get all excited and force my dad to follow the troupe from behind so we'd get to witness it more than once. Now, the beating of the drums, the colorful way in which the lion's decorated, not even the stunts it sometimes perform excite us anymore. Just a phase? Yeah, definitely, as is with alot of things in my life.
