Without much planning, I seem to end up at Chili's every 14th of February. This year was no different and the only thing that made this year's Valentine even more memorable was that I was able to spend it with Vel & Vic as well. We originally weren't planning anything but after meeting up for tea in the afternoon, we then decided to have dinner together and that led to drinks at Hard Rock. A night just like any other night, except for that distinct feeling of love in the air, with a horde of people by the roadsides selling flowers and balloons. (Like we need anymore reminders of this overhyped, commercialized festival?)
Next Saturday is another day to look forward to as my favorite man celebrates his 53rd and I still have no idea what to get him. Maybe this year I'll do something wacky and give him a big wet kiss on the cheek. It's considered wacky because I cannot remember the last time I was affectionate with him. No hugs or kisses goodbye or goodnight for the longest time so I bet he'll be caught off guard. :) Ok ok repeat of American Idol's starting.
